Sneha's Vande Matharam is a movie that carries a bold theme
Vande Matharam is a movie that carries a bold theme. It talks about agrarian problem and offers solution to travails of farmers, who are forced to commit suicide due to poverty in various parts of the country, says producer Henry of Pankaj Productions.
The movie initially titled Aruvadai has been rechristened as Vande Matharam. Since it dwells on a national issue and speaks about the need for patriotism in troubled times, we chose to title it Vande Matharam, he says.
The movie stars Mammooty, Arjun, Sneha, Jai Akash, Malayalam actor Jagadeesh among others in lead roles. Directed by debutant Aravind, Vande Matharam is ready for release this April.
After a gap of six years, Mammmooty is back to do a straight Tamil film. He plays an intelligence officer and Arjun dons the role of a senior cop. Sneha's venture ‘Goa’ is making a record even before its release
Soundarya Rajinikanth’s maiden production venture ‘Goa’ is making a record even before its release. The film directed by Venkat Prabhu is rewriting advance booking histories of movies starring even some top actors of Tamil cinema, if theatres sources are to be believed.
Sample this quote from a highly placed source at Devi Theatre in Chennai: “Our web portal almost crashed today thanks to the traffic it witnessed from those who wanted to book their tickets in advance for this weekend.
Apart from those booked tickets for ‘Goa’ online, a large number of movie lovers thronged our theatre today to book tickets in person. We have been witnessing a tremendous response ever since we opened our counters.”

Sneha's GOA has cleared an ‘A’ certificate by The Censor Board
Goa is now Go(A) The Censor Board has cleared ‘Goa’ with an ‘A’ certificate, thereby marking the film for the viewing of adult audience, say sources in the know. Produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth, the ‘Venkat Prabhu’s Holiday’ is getting ready to see the light of the day on January 29.
For Venkat Prabhu and his artistes team (Premji, Jai, Vaibhav and others), the film will be their wedding gift for Soundarya, whose engagement is scheduled with young entrepreneur Ashwin in the second week of February.
“I am happy to direct Soundarya’s first production venture. She knows me right from the days of ‘Chennai 600028’. The movie is going to be a perfect gift not just for Soundarya, but also for the audience, who love cinema,” the director says. The A is not for vulgarity, but for some subject handled, which will sure to get the audience tickling.
The music album of the movie was released recently by Superstar Rajinikanth at his residence in Chennai. On the film’s music, Venkat Prabhu says, “Yuvan Shankar Raja always comes up with special tunes for my films. He has repeated the magic in ‘Goa’ too. All the songs have come out well. They would rock audiocharts soon.”
Stressing that Goa is a romantic comedy, Venkat Prabhu says, “it is a hilarious love story. The whole team including Premji, Vaibhav and Jai were real fun to work with. They never take things seriously. But all gave their best onscreen”.

Sneha's Murattu Kaalai was stalled due to budget reasons
Sundar C starrer Murattu Kaalai, which is a remake of Superstar Rajinikanth’s yesteryear film with the same title, was stalled due to some reasons.
The film is produced by Kalainyar TV Network and is directed by Selva Bharathi. It seems that the budget had exceeded above-the-line as lavish amount was spent on junior artists.
hen the production team suddenly visited the shooting spots, the members were miffed to witness that most of the junior artists were paid for no reason.
Apparently, the shooting was reported to be cancelled and the Selva Bharathi had to ardently apologize.
Now after furnishing a detailed production design, the shooting has resumed and the director has planned to complete the schedules within short span of time.

Sneha's Bhavani IPS is slotted for Pongal release
When she’s not stopping shows, she’s stopping heartbeats. And that’s what she did when she bagged the role of Sneha action heroinein Sneha Bhavani IPS. She’s now eagerly looking forward to the release of the film that is slotted for Pongal.
“I’m eager to see how the movie has shaped up. The producer and director told me that they are very happy with my performance and that I have done justice to the role, but I’m eager to see myself in the role that is so different from what I am or have done before,” says Sneha.
Known for her charming smile and soft-natured roles that she has played in the past, she says that the role was a challenge and all credit goes to her trainers. “It involved hard work and dedication. I had to attend a few karate classes to help me get a feel of things. But most of it was on the sets. All credit goes to my trainer who gave me the tough look,” she says.
And if playing a tough woman wasn’t enough, the lady says she got attached to the role. “At the end of the shooting schedule, I was sad because I didn’t want to remove the kakhis. I got so attached to the uniform because every time I wore it, I felt like I was in command of everything. It made me feel invincible; I like the feeling of being in power,” she says.
Sneha is also looking forward to her second Pongal release -Goa.
When it comes to dressing up, the lady likes to leave everything to imagination. “I love to dress up and feel like a diva. I like trendy clothes, but most importantly, I want to feel comfortable in what I wear. And yes, I love belts, I have a huge collection of belts,” she says.

Sneha is once again together with Mammootty
Sneha who has done Thurupugulan with Mammootty is once again his heroine in B Unnikrishnan directed Pramani.Remember Sneha’s first film was in Malayalam Ingane Oru Nilapakshi in 2001?
The original choice was Kavya Madhavan who backed out of the project at the last minute. It is for the third time that Sneha is doing a film with Mammootty, as she is his heroine in long delayed Tamil and Malayalam bi-lingual Vande Mataram, which is yet to be released.
It is also a shrewd move by Sneha, as she could easily have been the number one actress in Malayalam after Thurupugulan in 2005, but she wanted to concentrate then on her career in Tamil.
Now that Shriya, Sameera and other Mumbai based glam girls are making a beeline to Kerala, Sneha also threw in her hat.
The shoot of Pramani. is starting in Kochi from December 27, and Sneha will join the unit from January 6.

Sneha's Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai audio launched
It would be a a director’s day at the Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai audio launch on December. This is probably the first movie audio launch in which most Kollywood directors would be participating.

Sneha in a small yet sensible role in Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai
Vishal’s ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ has a new value addition. Apart from the three heroines who have already been roped in, Sneha too will be part of the movie, it is said.

Sneha's Goa will now be the most eagerly awaited Pongal release
Soundarya Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios has agreed to furnish bank guarantee as security towards the amounts allegedly borrowed from NAPC Properties Private Limited, Nandanam and Varun Manian.
So the Madras High Court has granted time till December 21 to furnish bank guarantee as security to the tune of Rs 1.60 crore for the release of Ocher Studios Goa.
Justice G Rajasuriya however made it clear that if the security was not furnished by December 21, the order already passed (interim injunction against the release of the film) would hold good.
The Goa controversy would now die down as Ocher Studios is sure to furnish the bank guarantee and the matter would be settled.
Actually the controversy has made the Venkat Prabhu entertainer Goa red hot in the trade. The film will now be the most eagerly awaited Pongal release.

Sneha will star in the remake of a yesteryear Block buster movie . The name of the movie is Kadhalikka Neramillai.Sneha will be acting opposite Prasanna as her on screen hero. Before this Sneha has also worked with him in the movie Achamunndu Achamundu.
The old one was directed by Sridhar and starred Balayya, Muthuraman, Nagesh and Ravichandran. This remake version will be directed by K Selvabharathy,who is also the director of Vijay’s hit movies like Vaseegara, Ninaithen Vandhai and Priyamaanavale.
Director Manobala is the producer for this movie. Prasanna is going to play the role of Ravichandran in the modern version. Sneha will do the role of Rajashri.
