Sarath Kumar and Sneha have teamed up for the first time
Sarath Kumar and Sneha have teamed up for the first time in Vidiyal directed by KR Selvaraj, with music by Dhina.
Once again Sarath will be playing a dual role as father and son in this period drama set in 1940’s, 1970’s and 2010.
The film is produced by Giriguja Films International in association with Sarath’s new production company RRR. Sarath has ideas to produce three films with new faces every year.
The actor says that Pazhassi Raja has given him a new lease of life and he has become a star in Malayalam. He is doing two new films in Malayalam the multi starrer Christian Brothers with Mohanlal, Dileep, Suresh Gopi and another film Oridathoru Postman.
Sarath also said he has a project coming up in Bollywood for which shooting will start in July
Sneha are not offered variety roles like actors
Sneha said that actresses are not offered variety roles like actors. Sneha has donned the role of a police officer in the film Bhavani directed by G Kiccha.
While speaking about this Sneha said,” I have acted in 50 films so far. But all these roles are stereotyped. If I wear saree in one film, I will wear churidhar in another film. Only, this much of difference I can show. We are not offered variety of roles like the heroes.
People do not have the guts to do even if they get the roles. That is why I have donned the role of a police officer in this film. This character will have action scenes and the braveness of woman and prudence like a hero.
I was reluctant to do this role initially. Only after acting I was confident that I will do the role. If my fans accept me as an action heroine, I will continue to do these kind of roles.’
Sneha will be introduced like how a mass hero is introduced in Bhavani
Director Kicha who is directing ‘Maasi’ and ‘Bhavani’ is pulling in a real life incident.
We hear that the director will be showing an episode that happened in the life of a brave police woman in ‘Bhavani IPS’ that has Sneha in the lead.
We might have known the famous incident that happened when Kiran Bedi IPS towed Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s car for parking violation. This sensitive incident was elaborated by Thilagavathy IPS, Tamil Nadu’s first women IPS officer and the Kicha had inserted this in ‘Bhavani’.
But with necessary changes, the role of the politician is played by Kota Srinivasa Rao and Sneha takes the part of Kiran Bedi. Moreover, the director says that Sneha will be introduced like how a mass hero is introduced with a power packed title song.
Sneha would be donning the role of a Panchayat Secretary
Sneha will act another major role opposite Mammootty. She had earlier played Mammootty’s heroine in the superhit ’Thuruppu Gulan’ and in the Tamil megahit film ’Aanandam’. She has also completed the bilingual film ’Vande Matharam’, in which she plays a pilot and Mammootty’s female lead.
The latest is that she would be donning the role of a Panchayat Secretary who is at loggerheads with the highly corrupt Panchayat President, played by Mammootty himself in ’Pramani’.
Sneha would play Janaki, who is constantly locking horns with Viswanatha Panikker, the Panchayat President. B Unnikrishnan’s script offers plenty of scope for the actress to display her acting potentials in a powerful role. It sure looks like Sneha is here to stay. She is also rumoredly Mammootty’s heroine in.
